PREFACE

We are happy to present the third revised and enlarged edition of this book before the readers within a short span of few months of the last edition.

While revising the book due weightage has been given to the suggestions made by our esteemed readers. The Whole book has been checked, revised and updated as per companies Act, 2013 (especially amendment made in the format of schedule III), SEBI Rules and regulations and Accounting Standards wherever is applicable in order to meet the requirements of latest syllabus of BBA 1st Semester of Panjab University. In addition to this, the book has been updated with respect to Goods $ Service Tax and its accounting treatment in the books of accounts and the impact in various topics. The same has been explained with the help of illustrations  in the respective chapters.

Several new problems taken from the latest examination papers have been incorporated as illustrations and problems at end of each chapter. Short and Long answer type questions have been added to make the subject matter more clear to the readers.
