This is the 4^th edition of the Modern Textbook of Zoology Vertebrates. This book is written by none other than the reputed author- R.L. Kotpal. Published under the strict quality maintenance of the well-known publisher, the Rajtogi Publications, this book houses no error. The book has been prescribed by the Panjab University, Chandigarh for the B.Sc. 1^st and 2^nd Semesters students. It can be mentioned that the volume on invertebrates was first published in the year 1973 and it took the author another 15 years since then to write this volume on vertebrates. The author has devoted himself to the study of vertebrates through a long and assiduous teaching career spanning over more than 40 years. The book has been written in such a way that the long-lasting needs of Indian students are being catered to and looked into.
