About

West Bengal Main Computerised Counselling (WBMCC) invites online applications form  NEET 2021 Undergraduate Medical, Dental and AYUSH Counselling. Counselling of 15% of seats in government colleges is done through All India Quota Counselling by Medical Counselling Committee, DGHS, New Delhi. Counselling of remaining 85% seats in government colleges, state quota seats in private colleges, management quota seats and NRI quota seats is conducted by WBMCC, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal

Counselling Process

  • Step 1: Online Enrolment
  • Step 2: Payment of requisite fees, obtaining transaction ID and then generation of acknowledgement Receipt
  • Step 3: Registration followed by Choice filling and choice locking of the successfully paid candidates.
  • Step 4: Publication of applicant list and publication of processed Result of allotment based on and eligibility of candidates.
  • Step 5: Physical original document verification of the allotted candidates at the allot college within stipulated time

Eligibility

a) Age

Candidate age should be at least 17 Years by 31 December 2021. Date of Birth must be on or before 1 January 2005 to become eligible.

 

b) Academic

The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology for UR/EWS Category Candidates or 45% Marks for UR-PwD / EWS-PwD Category Candidates or 40 Marks for SC / ST / OBCA / OBCB / SC-PwD / ST-PwD / OBCA PwD / OBC B PwD Candidates (caste certificate must be issued in West Bengal)

 

c) NEET 2021

The Candidate must be NEET 2021 Qualified with the Minimum required Percentile.

The candidates who have not qualified in NEET UG 2021 as per the cut off marks for provided by the NTA vide notice dated 01.11.2021 are not allowed in counselling process. If cut off is subsequent reduced by NTA  / Government of India then, only such candidates shall be allowed for counselling as per is revised cut off provided by NTA / Government of India

 

d State Quota

The Candidate who is domicile to the West Bengal are eligible to participate in State Quota, Private College Management Quota seats and AYUSH Private Collage AIQ Seats in West Bengal.

For State Quota, Either the Candidate or His / Her Parent’s must be domicile in the State of West Bengal. The types of Domicile Certificate proforma that can be produced

i) Proforma A1: Residential / Domicile Certificate for Candidates residing in the State of West Bengal Continuously for at least last 10 Years as on 31 December 2020   

ii) Proforma A2: Residential / Domicile Certificate for Candidates residing in the State of West Bengal Continuously for at least last 10 Years as on 31 December 2020 where the candidate has passed 10+2 examination in the year 2021 or before form West Bengal

This proforma must be signed and certified by Head Master / Principal / Director / Head of the Institute in the State of West Bengal from which the Candidate have passed 10+2 Examination. 

ii) Proforma B: Residential / Domicile Certificate for Candidate NOT residing in the State of  West Bengal continuously for at least last 10 Years as on 31 December 2020 but whose parent(s) are permanent resident(s) of West Bengal having their permanent home address within West Bengal and living continuously for at least last 10 Years in West Bengal as on 31 December 2020

 

d) Management Quota

The NEET UG 2021 Qualified Candidates with Minimum required marks in 10+2 Examination are eligible for Management Quota Seats. The candidates who are not domicile in the State of West Bengal (and not opting for NRI Quota) are eligible for Management Quota seats in Private Medical / Dental / AYUSH colleges in West Bengal. They are also eligible for AYUSH Private college All India Quota seats in West Bengal. For admission in management quota seats the domicile certificate is not required for the allotted candidate however they are required to produce other essential original documents. It must be kept in mind by the Candidate that allotment in Management Quota in based purely merit rank of NEET UG 2021 as there is no caste or PwD reservation in such seats  

 

e) NRI Quota

NRI quota in Private Medical Colleges in West Bengal in 2021 are also going to be filled by online counselling which is to be conducted by WBMCC. The candidates qualified for NEET UG 2021 and fulfil the criteria of eligibility of NRI Quota seats as per the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Course of India. The candidates who opt for NRI Quota cannot Opt for State Quota / Management Quota /  All India Quota (some Private AYUSH colleges in West Bengal). The candidates must be careful while filling up form as once the NRI / Non-NRI option is taken and final submission is done then it cannot be re-edited / re-submitted / changed by the candidate

The cut off for NRI quota seats and Management quota seats shall be 50 Percentile for UR/EWS candidates or 45 Percentile for UR PwD / EWS PwD Candidates or 40 Percentile for SC / ST / OBC Candidates with or without PwD Status. For Such quota seats domicile certificate is not required but age and Class 12th exam result is applicable

 

 

Registration Fee

Online Counseling registration Fee Rs 2000/- for Unreserved Candidate and Rs 1500/- for SC / ST / OBC / OBC A / OBC B / PwD / EWS Candidates (West Bengal State Only)

 

Choice Filling / Locking

After the choices are placed and save, the choices shall have to be locked by candidates as only the locked choices for that particular round shall be processed for seat allotment as per inter-se-merit of the candidates

 

Number of Rounds

a) Round 1 Counseling

  • All the eligible and NEET UG 2021 qualified candidates can enroll, pay fee, register and put of choice during Round 1 of the counseling. After the choices are placed and save, the choices shall have to be locked by candidates as only the locked choices for that particular round shall be processed for seat allotment as per inter-se-merit of the candidates
  • During the admission process of round 1 the allotted candidate shall be asked to provide willingness for participation in subsequent round at the allotted college. If the  willingness is affirmative, then only candidate remains eligible participate in round 2.
  • The candidate who has not been allotted or not reported for admission in round 1 or not provided choice in round 1 are also allowed to participate in round 2.
  • The eligible and qualified candidates who fail to register for round 1 for subsequent round as the case may be (even if they have enrolled and paid counselling fees of successfully) are not allowed to participate in round 1 counselling for subsequent.

b) Round 2 Counseling

  • Already registered candidate in round 1 who have filled up choice in round 1 and were allotted and admitted in Round 1 and provided willingness for participation in Round 2 are allowed to participate in Round 2
  • Already registered candidate in Round 1 who filled up choice in round 1 but were not allotted in Round 1 due to in inter-se-merit position are allowed to participate in Round 2
  • Candidate who was the NEET UG 2021 qualified and successfully registered in round 1 but failed to provide choice during Round 1 are allowed to participate in Round 2.
  • The opportunity for an enrolment, pay fee and register for eligible and qualified NEET UG 2021 candidates who have not done it during Round 1 counselling due to any cause, shall be again allowed during round 2 counselling.
  • The candidates who were allotted in round 1 but were not reported in allotted institute for admission, they are allowed free exit that if they are allowed to participate in round 2 counselling without penalty that is  they are not required to enrol / Pay Fee / Register again during round 2 counselling. They are straight away go for fresh choice filling during the round 2 Counselling
  • The candidates, whose allotted seats were cancelled in round 1 due to inadequate documentation but still remained eligible for subsequent round with change candidature are allowed to in round 2 counselling for choice filling straight away with changed candidature status
  • Non Registered candidate till round 2 or, registered candidate who have not filled up choice in round 2 are not allowed in round 2 Counseling.
  • Registered Candidate who have got admission in Round 1 and not provided willingness to participate in Round 2 during the admission process at the allotted Institute are not allowed in Round 2 Counselling.
  • The candidates who have surrendered seats after admission in round 1 are not allowed to participate any further in counseling including round 2. They are out of the counting process.
  • The Candidates who have admitted / joined the allotted seat in round to and for the towns of council will not be allowed to design surrender and will also be eligible to take part in for the rounds of any type of counselling
  • The candidates, whose allotted seats were cancelled in Round 1 due to failure in submission of essential documents, are out of counselling process and they are not allowed to participate any further in counselling
  • The willingness of participation in subsequent round shall not be available during round 2 admissions or during any further rounds of admission process

b) Mop up Round Counseling (Online)

  • The opportunity for enrolment, pay fee and register and fresh choice filling for eligible and qualified NEET UG 2021 candidates, who have not done it during round 1 and round 2 counselling due to any cause shall be again allowed during mop up round counseling.
  • The Candidates, who remain not allowed till round 2, are allowed to participate in Mop Up Straight away by fresh choice filling.
  • Already registered candidate in Round 1 or Round 2 who failed to provide choice during the round(s) are allowed to participate in Mop Up.
  • The candidates, whose allotted seats were cancelled in round 1 due to inadequate documentation but still  remained in eligible for subsequent round with changed candidature, are allowed in Mop Up counselling for choice filling straight away with changed candidature status.
  • The Candidates, whose allotted seat were cancelled in round 2 due to failure in submission of essential documents,  are out of the counseling process and they are not allowed to participate any further in counseling.
  • The candidates who remain not reported during round 2 counselling are allowed to participate in mop up counselling but with penalty that they have to pay counselling fee afresh and register afresh before being eligible for choice filling in mop up round counselling(online). However they are not allowed to change the credentials provided during enrolment stage of earlier rounds
  • Non registered candidate till Mop Up round or, registered candidate who have not filled up choice in Mop Up round are not allowed to mop up counselling
  • The candidates who remain admitted after round 2 counselling, are not allowed any further for participation in mop up round or for the counselling

d) Stray Vacancy Round Counselling (Online)

  • No fresh enrolment, fee payment or registration is allowed in stray vacancy round. Only the candidate, who are already registered and not allotted / not reported till mop up round, are allowed for choice Up-gradation (of Mop Up Round Choices) in stray vacancy round provided, they put up fresh choice during Mop Up Round of Counseling
  • The candidates,  whose allotted seats were cancelled in Mop Up round due to failure in submission of essential documents, are out of the counseling process and they are not allowed to participate any further in counselling.
  • Non registered candidate in Mop Up round or, registered candidates who have not filled choice in Mop Up are not allowed in stay vacancy round.
  • If still some seats remain vacant due to any cause, then the already registered and non allotted candidate list not less less than 10 times the pooled stray vacancy shall be forwarded to the concerned college for allotment cum admission (Physical Mode). The details of such mode of stray vacancy fill up process shall be notified in due course if required

 

Counseling

After allotment, the allotted candidate need to attend the concerned college physically with original credentials and one set self attested photocopy of documents along with the stipulated fee for the college for document verification. After successful verification the candidate shall be admitted in the college and handed over the system generated admission letter.

The following documents are required to be produced by the Allotted Candidate in original with self-attested Photocopy for verification at the allotted college.

a) For State Quota

  • Acknowledgement slip generated online after successful enrolment
  • Domicile certificate (a1, ab, b) or Domicile Certificate from e-district website
  • Voter Card  / Aadhar Card  / Passport of parent(s) in case of domicile certificate of parent is given showing address as West Bengal (any 2 of the ID Cards as mentioned above)
  • Caste certificate as applicable (issued in the State of West Bengal)
  • NEET UG 2021 admit card
  • NEET UG 2021 rank card
  • PwD Category issued from IPGMER Kolkata as applicable
  • Payment of counselling fee proof (generated online)
  • Age Proof (age should be 17 years by 31st December 2021)
  • Class 10+2 mark sheet for verification of marks
  • Medical Certificate (from Registered Allopathic Medical Practitioner)
  • Provisional allotment letter generated from WBMCC website

b) For Management Quota

  • Acknowledge slip generated online after successful enrollment
  • NEET UG 2021 admit card
  • NEET UG 2021 rank card
  • Payment of counselling fee proof (generated online)
  • Age Proof (age should be 17 years by 31st December 2021)
  • Class 10+2 mark sheet for verification of marks
  • Medical Certificate (from Registered Allopathic Medical Practitioner)
  • Provisional allotment letter generated from WBMCC website
  • Caste Certificate as applicable
  • PwD Category issued from IPGMER Kolkata as applicable

c) For NRI Quota

  • Notarized affidavit of the candidate or the sponsor who is NRI
  • Documents claiming that the candidate / sponsor is NRI (Valid Passport, Visa, Recent utility bill)
  • Relationship of NRI sponsor with the candidates as per order of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India
  • Notarized Affidavit of the sponsor that he/she sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate
  • Acknowledgement slip generated online after successful enrolment
  • NEET UG 2021 admit card
  • NEET UG 2021 rank card
  • Payment of counselling fee proof (generated online)
  • Age Proof (age should be 17 years by 31st December 2021)
  • Class 10+2 mark sheet for verification of marks
  • Medical Certificate (from Registered Allopathic Medical Practitioner)

d) For Private AYUSH college All India Quota

  • PwD Category issued from IPGMER Kolkata as applicable
  • Payment of counselling fee proof (generated online)
  • Age Proof (age should be 17 years by 31st December 2021)
