Eligibility (Integrated Law Degree Programmes)

An integrated law degree programme is appropriate for a candidate who has just completed high school (10+2). It integrates two different fields into one programme—law together with a subject like Business, Arts, Commerce, or Science. The curriculum consists of subjects from both fields. The subjects pertaining to Business, Arts, Commerce, and Science are taught until the third year of the course simultaneously with subjects pertaining to law. The remainder of the course is dedicated to specialized study of law.

The duration of integrated degree programmes is five or six years. An advantage of these programmes is that they take one less year to complete as compared to obtaining a Bachelor’s degree and then obtaining a traditional three-year law degree. Integrated law programmes also permit the candidate to study additional subjects of their interest.
